The Garena's Garena premier league (GPL) was launched in May 2012. It is a professional online gaming competition that lasts up to six months and has over 100 games. In the first season, GPL will be comprised of a League of Legends competition which has six teams of professional players. They represent the best athletes from their respective countries. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two new teams from Taiwan and Vietnam and Vietnam, which bring the total number of teams to eight. The teams are AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Saigon Jokers, Taipei Assassins and Singapore Sentinels.
