Liza Snyder
Snyder has been born in Northampton, Massachusetts. Her father is a professor of theatre at Smith College, and her mother sings and songwriters. Johnny Green was a five-time Academy Award winning composer and Betty Furness is an actress and consumer journalist, were her maternal grandparents. Snyder studied acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. She was coached by Sanford Meisner. Snyder began her career appearing in TV dramas including The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and Murder, She Wrote. She landed her first major role as Molly Whelan, in 1993's ABC crime-drama Sirens. After the series was canceled, she co-starred in two made-for-television movies as well as guest-starring on Chicago Hope, and Pacific Blue. She was also a regular on the NBC comedy Jesse that starred Christina Applegate from 1998-2000. Snyder made her screen debut in a supporting character in the film Pay It Forward directed by Mimi Leder. Snyder started her acting career on Christine Hughes, a CBS sitcom Yes, Dear, later that same year. It ended the show in. Snyder took a break of five years after Yes, Dear. In 2011, she came back to the screen with a guest-starring role on an episode of House where she played a person who needs a lung transplant. The actress reprised her role in Yes, Dear in an episode of Raising Hope from 2013.
